Create and Assign Skills
Define skills such as language proficiency, specialized industry knowledge, or certifications for your team members in InLoox. Easily identify employees with the required skills within your company and accurately allocate them to projects based on their qualifications.
You can create, edit, and delete skills in the InLoox Settings, as well as assign or reassign these skills to the respective resources.
When assigning a task to a person with a specific skill, type the skill name into the resource assignment field — the search results will show matching people. Then pick the best-qualified person for the task.
You need admin permissions to access the InLoox Settings.
Set, define, and assign new skills
- Click on InLoox Settings and go to Organization.
- Click on the Skills tab.
- Click on New and type in the name of the new skill. Click Save.
- In the list of skills, click into the text field in the Description column and add further relevant information to define the skill (optional).
- Click into the Assignment column and select one or more people who have this skill.
Edit or delete skills
- Edit the name or description of an existing skill by clicking directly on the field (inline editing).
- To change the assignment, either click the X next to a person's name to remove them, or click into the field and select another person from the contacts menu.
- To delete an entire skill, click the red trash can icon. InLoox will ask you to confirm. Click Delete to proceed.
Once deleted, the skill will no longer appear in the resource assignment menu for tasks, documents, time entries, financial items, Gantt activities, etc.
